Tri-Valley Baseball Held Hitless, Falls to SF Christian

Despite being held hitless, the Tri-Valley high school baseball team scored four runs, but Sioux Falls Christian took the win 16-4 in six innings on Tuesday, May 13th.

Tri-Valley took the lead in the bottom of the first with two runs on four walks and passed ball.  Sioux Falls Christian, however, scored four in the top of the second, two in the third, and four more in the fourth for a 10-2 lead.  Tri-Valley scored two more times in the bottom of the fourth taking advantage of a walk with two errors.  Sioux Falls Christian scored two more runs in the top of the fifth and four in the top of the sixth.

Treyson Richter had the lone RBI in the game for Tri-Valley.  Landon Schenkel pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed 10 runs, five earned, on eight hits and four walks with seven strikeouts.  Denton Bicknase pitched an inning and allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks.  Lawson Schneiderman also threw an inning and allowed four runs, one earned, on two hits and one strikeout.  Evan Focken pitched 1/3 of an an inning and allowed one hit.
