The Tri-Valley Mustangs fell to the #2 ranked Lennox Orioles in Lennox on Friday, October 18th. The Orioles took the win 46-8.
Lennox put the first score on the board on a 10-yard touchdown pass just as time expired on the first quarter for a 6-0 lead. They added to the lead on a 48-yard touchdown pass with 8:18 in the second quarter to make the score 12-0. The Orioles found the endzone again later in the quarter on a 10-yard pass. A made two-point conversion extended the lead to 20-0. A 42-yard touchdown pass late in the quarter by the Orioles put them ahead 26-0, which was the score at halftime.
The Orioles extended their lead to 32-0 after a six-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Tri-Valley got on the board in the third quarter. Brady Jewett had a 12-yard touchdown pass to Brechen Frederick. Landyn Reiser scored the two-point conversion to make the score 32-8. Tri-Valley recovered the onside kick and drove the ball to the Lennox 10-yard line early in the fourth quarter, but the Orioles kept them out of the endzone.
Lennox got two scores in the fourth quarter. The first touchdown was on a seven-yard run. The second touchdown was on a 20-yard pass. The Orioles made one two-point conversions for a 46-8 score.
