Tri-Valley Softball Wins 10th Game of Season

The Tri-Valley Mustang softball team hit double digits in wins on Friday, May 10th.  The Mustangs won their 10th game of the year after defeating the Viborg-Hurley Cougars 15-2.  The 10th win this year comes after just a one-win season in 2023.

After a scoreless first inning, the Mustangs scored two times in the top of the second.  They added four more in the top of the third for a 6-0 lead.  The Cougars got two runs in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 6-2.  Tri-Valley the scored nine times in the final two innings to end the game on the 10-run rule in five innings.

Emry Jones had a big day with two home runs, a double, and four RBIs.  Ava Christensen had three hits, two of them doubles, and an RBI.  Reese Wilt finished with two hits and two RBIs.   Izzy Davey had two hits as well, including a double, and an RBI.  Keagan Kuchta added a single and two RBIs.  Reagan Pearson had a home run and an RBI.  Emery Perason had a single and an RBI, and Syenna Bird also had a hit.

I. Davey pitched three innings and allowed just one walk with seven strikeouts.  Kuchta pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
