Dakota Valley Snaps Quarrier Boys Winning Streak

The Dakota Valley Panthers snapped the nine-game winning streak of the Dell Rapids Quarrier boys on Friday, February 9th.  The Panthers took the home win 69-52.

Dakota Valley was able to extend their lead in every quarter.  The Panthers had a four-point advantage, 14-10, at the end of the first quarter.  They doubled their lead in the second quarter for a 30-22 advantage at halftime.  Dakota Valley would outscore the Quarriers 17-11 in the third quarter and led 47-33 going into the fourth quarter.

Dell Rapids shot 35% (20-57) overall, 33% (5-15) from three-point area, and 64% (7-11) from the free-throw line.  The Panthers finished the game shooting 39% (25-64) overall, 26% (7-27) on three-point shots, and 86% (12-14) from the free-throw line.

Jack Henry finished with 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Rhett Kloth added 12 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Treyse Eastman had seven points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Cole Ruesink had three points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Tad Tjaden, Lincoln Anderson, and Lincoln Fersdahl all had three points each.
