The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys extended their winning streak to nine games after they cruised to a 64-39 win over the Mt Vernon-Plankinton Titans on Tuesday, February 6th.
The Quarriers used a big first half to their lead. Dell Rapids led 17-6 at the end of the first quarter, and then they extended that lead to 41-17 at halftime. They hit a 30-point lead early in the third quarter for the running clock. The Quarriers led 59-25 going into the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 57% (28-49) from the field overall, 5-10 from three-point area, and 3-5 from the free-throw line. The Titans finished the game shooting 38% (17-45) overall, 21% (3-14) from three-point area, and 2-4 from the free-throw line.
Jack Henry finished with 18 points, five rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Cole Ruesink added 11 points, three rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Rhett Kloth had eight points, three assists, three steals, and three blocked shots. Tad Tjaded ended with eight points, two rebounds, and two assists. Drake Eastman also had eight points.
