Second Quarter Sinks Dell Rapids Boys

A second quarter rally by the #1 Sioux Falls Christian Chargers helped them to a 75-55 win over the Dell Rapids Quarriers on Thursday, January 11th.

The Chargers led 14-5 with 3:00 to go in the first quarter.  Dell Rapids battled back to a 14-13 score by the end of the period.  The Quarriers scored the first basket of the second quarter, completing a 10-0 run, and took a 15-14 lead with 7:20 to go in the half.  Sioux Falls Christian’s offense then got rolling.  The Chargers went on a 28-9 run for a 42-24 halftime lead.  They would lead 54-36 at the end of the third quarter and outscored the Quarriers 21-19 in the fourth quarter.

Dell Rapids shot 46% (23-50) from the field overall, 38% (5-13) from three-point area, and 44% (4-9) from the free-throw line.  The Chargers finished the game shooting 44% (28-64) overall, 33% (12-36) on three-point attempts, and 58% (7-12) from the free-throw line.

Rhett Kloth finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds.  Jack Henry had 19 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Tad Tajden had seven points.  Treyse Eastman, Lincoln Fersdahl, and Lincoln Anderson all had three points each.  Cole Ruesink had seven rebounds.
