Dell Rapids Girls Track Looking to Build on Last Year’s Success

Last year’s Quarrier girls track team took the medley relay, 4x400m relay, 4x200m relay, and 4x100m relay teams as well as individual runners Kylee Fiddelke and Clara Justice to the state meet.  The team is looking to build on that success this season.

Dell Rapids will be led by seniors Kennedy Krull, Adisen Stadem, Liz Price, Merritt Kvigne, and Rileigh Foster along with experience from juniors Fiddelke, Sophia Godwin, Halle Uphoff, Makaylah O’Meara, and Madisen Carpenter.

“I am looking for a great season with a lot of great girls.  I think the girls have some high expectations and feel that they will be willing to work hard to reach them. Hopefully we will be able to get on the track to be able to train and get some meets under our belds so that times will start to reflect the hard work they are putting in.  Our goal is to improve every time we get out and compete, and by the end of the year, we should be where we want to be,” said head coach Steve Hansen.
