The Dell Rapids Quarrier track teams competed in their first meet of the 2023 season on Monday, April 3rd. Dell Rapids traveled to Brookings for the Scott Underwood Invite on the SDSU campus.
The Quarriers had several top 15 finishes at the meet. Tad Tjaden took sixth in the long jump, sixth in the triple jump, and 13th in the high jump. Matthew Nelson was seventh in the shot put. Grady Lamer placed 11th in the 400m dash and 14th in the 800m run. Braden Fersdahl was 11th in the long jump. Elly Olson was 15th in the 300m hurdles. The 4x400m relay team of Elizabeth Price, Merritt Kvigne, Kennedy Krull, and Kylee Fiddelke was 15th. The 4x800m relay team of Madyn Lacey, Jenna Miller, Adisen Stadem, and Price also placed 15th.
