The #1 ranked Dell Rapids PBR team fell at home to the Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks 7-2 on Sunday, June 21st.
The game was scoreless through three innings of play. The Wood Ducks scored seven times in the top of the fourth inning highlighted by two home runs. Riley Calhoon scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth to put PBR on the board. Zach Puetz had an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh for the other PBR run.
Puetz had three hits and an RBI. Jake Brandenburg had a double. Riley Hoffman, Drew Sweeter, Ryan Brandenburg, Beau Behrend, and Riley Calhoon all had one hit each. Tanner Solberg pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed seven earned runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Grant Sweeter pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed four hits.
