The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys faced the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers for the second time in three weeks on Saturday, January 31st. The two teams met at the Dak-12/NEC Clash in Madison. The Quarriers earned their second win over the Tigers, this time by a score of 72-62.
Dell Rapids started the game with a 7-0 run. Mobridge-Pollock rallied to tie the game 12-12. The Quarriers responded with another run and led 23-14 by the end of the first quarter. Their lead grew to 41-29 by halftime for the Quarriers. Dell Rapids was able to maintain their advantage the entire second half never allowing the Tigers to get any closer than six points.
The Quarriers shot 52% (24-46) for the game overall, 36% (5-14) on three-point shots, and 73% (19-26) from the free-throw line. Mobridge-Pollock finished the game shooting 40% (25-62) overall, 25% (9-36) on three-point shots, and 3-9 from the free-throw line.
Lincoln Anderson finished with 29 points and three steals. Camden Jones added 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Jackson Peppel had 10 points and three steals. Karson Paye ended with three points but had eight rebounds and seven assists.
