The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys fell to a hot-shooting Vermillion Tanager team 76-35 on Thursday, January 29th. The Tanagers shot 62.5% (30-48) from the field overall, 50% (8-16) from three-point area, and 8-10 from the free-throw line.
Vermillion started the game on a 10-0 run and built a 27-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. They continued their run in the second quarter and extended the lead to 51-15. The third quarter ended with Vermillion leading 68-25.
Dell Rapids shot 33% (14-43) overall in the game, 22% (4-18) on three-point attempts, and 3-4 from the free-throw line. Camden Jones had eight points and three rebounds. Lincoln Anderson also had eight points. Hudson Wolff ended with four points. Carson Maeschen and Straton Toennies each had three points.
