The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls got back into the win column with a big win over Osmund, NE at the Midwest Miracles Classic on Saturday, January 4th. The Quarriers used three big quarters for a 57-19 victory.
Dell Rapids jumped out to a big lead by the end of the first quarter, 19-3. The Tigers kept pace with Dell Rapids in the second quarter, but the Quarriers led 28-10 at halftime. The Quarriers put the game out of reach in the third quarter. Dell Rapids outscored Osmund 18-6 to extend their lead to 46-16 going into the final quarter. The Quarriers outscored the Tigers 11-3 in the final quarter.
Jersi Schultz, named the Player of the Game, had 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Elly Olson added 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Rorie Thoreson also had 12 points with five steals and two assists. Mya DeStigter had six points. Elin Shoenhard had four points and five rebounds. Josie Price ended with four points, five assists, two steals, and two rebounds.
