Dell Rapids scored right away in the top of the first inning and cruised to a 13-1 win over Tri-Valley White on Monday, July 17th. The win was the 17th victory for Dell Rapids as they remain undefeated on the season.
Four runs were scored in the top of the first inning for Dell Rapids. Tri-Valley got one run back in the bottom of the inning to make the score 4-1. Dell Rapids then cruised from there. They scored a run in the top of the first, four in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three more in the seventh.
Brandon Schmidt had three hits, two of them doubles, and four RBIs. Cole Ruesink had three singles and an RBI. Lincoln Fersdahl added two hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Quinn Carr added two hits and an RBI. Talan Millage and Carson Crosby each had two singles. Kenneth Swanson had a hit and an RBI. Grady Lamer also had a hit.
Millage pitched three innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and two walks with five strikeouts. Schmidt pitched four innings and allowed one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts.
