The winning streak of the Dell Rapids Phils has reached 18 games after three more wins. Dell Rapids got a win over Colton on Friday, July 7th and then had two wins in a double header in Redfield on Sunday, July 9th.
Dell Rapids 10, Colton 0
The Phils earned a shutout win in their final home game of the season and held the Shockers to just four hits in the game. Dell Rapids got one run in the first, four in the third, two in the fourth, and then ended the game on the 10-run rule with three runs in the sixth.
Brayden Pankonen had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Jack Henry had two doubles and an RBI. Sutton Williams finished with two hits. Aiden Boechler and Mason Stubbe both had a single with two RBIs. CJ Smith and Drake Eastman both had a hit and an RBI. Konrad Richeal had a single, and Joe Rechtenbaugh had an RBI. Treyse Eastman pitched six innings and allowed four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
Dell Rapids 11, Redfield 1
The Phils put the pressure on Redfield early with six runs in the first two innings. Redfield got a run in the bottom of the fourth, but Dell Rapids scored five more in the top of the sixth inning to put the game away.
Pankonen had three hits. Henry had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. D. Eastman also had two hits and an RBI. Smith, Williams, and Boechler all had a single and an RBI. Will Jaton had a hit, and T. Eastman had an RBI. Dylan Kindt pitched six innings and allowed an earned run on four hits and a walk with nine strikeouts.
Dell Rapids 14, Redfield 3
After Dell Rapids scored four times in the top of the first inning, Redfield cut the lead to 4-3 by the bottom of the second inning. The Phils offense then continued to roll getting three runs in the third, three in the fourth, and four more in the fifth.
The Phils belted three home runs in the second game. Stubbe had three hits, including a home run and double, with three RBIs. Henry had three hits, one a home run, and an RBI. Smith finished with two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Boechler and Pankonen each had two hits and two RBIs. T. Eastman finished with a double and an RBI. Rechtenbaugh added a hit and RBI. Kindt and Williams both had a hit. Pankonen pitched 3 1/3 innings without allowing a hit or walk and recorded one strikeout. Richeal pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits and three walks.
