Wood Ducks Defeat Gamecocks

The Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks used a big sixth inning to help them to an 11-5 win over the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks on Friday, June 26th.

Neither team scored through the first three innings of the game.  The Wood Ducks picked up two runs in the top of the fourth.  The Gamecocks took the lead, 3-2, with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.  The Wood Ducks responded with eight runs in the top of the sixth to go back in front 10-3.  They added another run in the top of the seventh.  The Gamecocks would get two more runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Cam Quigley had two hits and an RBI for the Gamecocks.  Joe Hanisch, Drew Talberg, Cooper Maras, and Landry Knight all had one hit each.

Jearl Jesson finished with three hits, including a double, for the Wood Ducks.  Braylen Herr had two hits and two RBIs.  Karson Vessells had a grand slam home run for four RBIs.  Drew Eldeen and Camden McDonald both had a hit and an RBI.  Chad Hunt, Ben Honkomp, Loren Jacobson, Brayden Odegaard, and Hayden Whiting all had one hit each.
