The Canova Gang took a 19-4 win in five innings over the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks in Canova on Sunday, June 25th.
Canova scored twice in the bottom of the first inning. The Gamecocks got a run in the top of the third to cut the lead to 2-1, but Canova scored three times in the bottom of the third. They would have an 11-run bottom of the fourth for a 16-1 lead. The Gamecocks scored three runs in the top of the fifth, but Canova also scored three times to end the game on the 15- run rule.
Cam Quigley had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs. Jonah Rechtenbaugh, Drew Talberg, and Adam Hentges all had one hit each.
