The West Central high school baseball team cruised to a 15-2 win over Parker in five innings on Monday, April 13th. They scored in every inning while belting 15 hits in the game.
CJ Den Boer had three hits, one a double, and three RBIs. Beckett Everson ended with two hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Gunnar Alfson had a triple and double with two RBIs. Zach Lorang had a single and double with two RBIs. Hayes Cain and JT Steckley both had a double and single with an RBI. Nick Lorang also had a single and double. Eli Koehn finished with an RBI.
West Central scored two runs in each of the first two innings for a 4-0 lead. They had a run in the top of the third and then had a big seven-run top of the fourth to extend the lead to 12-0. West Central added three more runs in the top of the fifth. Parker scored two times in the bottom of the fifth.
Ashton Gebhard pitched two innings and walked three batters with four strikeouts. Taten Van Overbeke threw three innings and allowed two earned runs on a hit and four walks with six strikeouts.
