The West Central high school baseball team had no trouble with Garretson on Friday, May 9th. They rolled to a 22-2 win in four innings.
After a scoreless first inning, West Central put nine runs on the board in the top of the second. They added four more in the third and had another nine-run fourth inning for a 22-0 lead. Garretson scored two times in the bottom of the fourth. The game, however, ended on the 15-run rule.
Gunnar Alfson had four hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs. Caden Alfson had three hits, one a double, and five RBIs. CJ DenBoer added a single, double, and triple with three RBIs. Zach Lorang ended with two hits and three RBIs. Hayden Whiting also had two hits and one RBI. Keaton Vessells had a single, and Lando Whiting finished with a single.
G. Alfson pitched three innings and allowed just one hit with five strikeouts. Vessells pitched one inning and allowed two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout.
