The West Central Trojan track team competed in the Terry Bong Invite in Canton on Thursday, May 1st. The girls team finished sixth with 34 points. The boys team placed ninth with 30 points.
Sarah Johnson won the 3200 run with a time of 12:37.44. Mara Schultz was third in the shot put with a throw of 34’6.5″. The 4x400m relay team of Kaylie Schultz, Ella Harden, Jordyn Phillips, and Kinslee Hruby placed third in 5:00.23. Ellie Knight took fourth in the 300m hurdles in :55.15. The 4x200m relay team of Hailey Fortney, Knight, Harden, and Phillips placed fourth with a time of 1:57.08.
Zach Nielsen was second in the high jump with a leap of 5’10”. Peyton Barrick took third in the 300m hurdles in :46.74. The 4x400m relay team of Barrick, Gavin DeHaven, Jarrett Steckley, and Brody Johnson was third in 3:58.42. The 4x100m relay team of Chase Stromer, Bradyn Pieper, Dylan Bettcher, and Carson Eich took fourth in a time of :48.33.
