Tri-Valley Maroon scored 10 times in the bottom of the sixth inning to help them to a 17-7 win over West Central on Thursday, July 11th.
West Central scored three runs in the top of the first inning. Tri-Valley got one run back for a 3-1 score. After a scoreless second inning, Tri-Valley took the lead in the bottom of third, 5-3, with four runs. West Central pulled within a run, 5-4, with a plated run in the top of the fifth. Tri-Valley extended the lead to 7-4 with two runs in the bottom of the inning. West Central tied the game with a three-run top of the sixth. Tri-Valley then had their big ten-run inning in the bottom of the sixth.
Ashton Gebhard had two hits and an RBI. CJ DenBoer, Keaton Vessells, and Zach Lorang all had one hit and one RBI each. Nick Lorang and Alex Siemonsma both had one single each. Gebhard pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed five earned runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Siemonsma threw 2 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
