West Central 14U Gold Drops Two on Back-to-Back Nights

The West Central 14U Gold team lost two games on back-to-back nights on Wednesday, July 9th and Thursday, July 10th.

West Central played at home on July 9th and lost a three-inning game 26-3.  They gave up 11 runs in the top of the first and 15 in the top of the second.  West Central got three runs in the bottom of the third.  Jacob Phillips, Jakob Bachtell, and Oliver Loughman all had one RBI each.

Brookings White traveled to Humboldt on Thursday, and they took a 21-4 win in three innings.  Brookings scored two runs in the top of the first inning and then four more in the top of the second for a 6-0 lead.  West Central scored four in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 6-4.  Brookings, however, scored 15 runs in in the third, and the game ended on the 15-run rule.  Jaxson Dravland had a double with two RBIs.  Liam Billie had a single and an RBI.  Phillips and Ashton Brenner both had a hit.  Brende Warne added an RBI.
