Madison Gold scored 10 runs in the first two innings and continued to a 17-8 win over West Central Royal 14U on Wednesday, June 12th.
Madison scored six runs in the top of the first and four more in the second for the 10-0 lead. West Central responded with four in the bottom of the third and three in the fourth to cut the lead to 10-7, but that was as close as they would get. Madison got two runs in the top of the fifth and three in the sixth to go ahead 15-7. West Central scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, while Madison got two more in the seventh.
Cooper B. had two hits and two RBIs. Noah E. finished with two singles and an RBI. Taylan S. and Chase S. both had a single, and Kash G. added an RBI. Carson E. pitched three innings and allowed an earned run on two hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Aiden L. threw two innings and allowed five runs, two earned, on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
