The Tri-Valley Mustang offense was firing on all cylinders in Vermillion on Friday, April 24th. The Mustangs defeated the Vermillion Tanagers 20-0 in five innings.
Kadence Davey pitched five innings and allowed just one hit and four walks with six strikeouts. Davey also helped herself offensively with a home run and triple with four RBIs. Rowyn Gacke had three hits, one a double, and four RBIs. Emry Jones had three hits, one a triple, and an RBI. Hailey Sorenson added two hits, one a home run and three RBIs. Tyler Gibson ended with two hits and three RBIs. Ava Christensen had a double and two RBIs. Isabella Wetmore-Ocampo had a single and an RBI. Brinley Hansen added an RBI.
After a scoreless first inning, Tri-Valley scored three times in the top of the second inning. They had five runs in the top of the third for an 8-0 lead. The Mustangs had another three-run inning in the fourth for an 11-0 lead. They would put nine more runs on the board in the top of the fifth.
