The Tri-Valley Mustangs posted another victory on the season with a 14-2 win in Lennox on Friday, May 1st.
Emry Jones put the Mustangs on the board in the top of the first with an RBI double. Rowyn Gacke drove home two runs with a double in the top of the second for a 3-0 score. Jones and Ava Christensen had back-to-back RBI doubles in the top of the third. Haleigh Wallenstein added an RBI single later in the inning. Gacke had an RBI ground out, and then Mattie Huwe and Kadence Davey had back-to-back RBI doubles to put Tri-Valley ahead 10-0.
The offense kept rolling in the top of the fifth inning. Gacke had another RBI double. Kadence Davey had a two-run home run, and Syenna Halverson had an RBI single to make the score 14-0. Lennox scored two times in the bottom of the fifth, and the game then ended on the 10-run rule.
Davey had three hits, including a double and home run, with three RBIs. Jones had two doubles and a single with two RBIs. Gacke ended with two doubles and four RBIs. Huwe added a single and double with two RBIs. Peyton Vogt finished with two hits. Christensen had a double and an RBI. Halverson and Wallenstein both had a single and an RBI. Hailey Sorenson and Tyler Gibson also had one hit each.
Davey pitched all five innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
