Tri-Valley Football Takes Loss at Madison

The Tri-Valley Mustang football team suffered their third straight loss.  They traveled to Madison on Friday, October 4th and fell to the Bulldogs 21-12.

Madison scored the only two touchdowns of the first half.  They had a 19-yard touchdown pass with 8:44 to go in the first quarter.  The extra point gave the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead.  They added a two-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter.  Another extra point made the score 14-0.  The score would remain 14-0 until halftime.

Brechen Frederick put the Mustangs on the board with a 12-yard run with 10:03 to play in the third quarter.  The two-point conversion was no good leaving the score 14-6.  Madison got a three-yard touchdown on a quarterback keeper with 1:31 remaining in the third quarter.  The extra point extended the lead to 21-6.  Brody Dybvig got in the end zone with 3:39 remaining in the fourth quarter on a five-yard run, making the score 21-12.

Tri-Valley finished with 197 yards of total offense, 148 rushing yards and 49 passing yards.  Madison had 365 yards of offense, 153 rushing yards and 212 passing yards.  Dybvig had 18 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown.  Frederick finished with nine carries for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Brady Jewett was 4-7 passing for 48 yards and an interception.  Dybvig was 2-4 passing and also had an interception.  Landyn Reiser had three catches for 18 yards.  Dybvig had a catch for 17 yards, and Parker Hemme also had a catch for 13 yards.

Hemme led the defense with eight tackles.  Kobe Krome added six tackles.  Reiser finished with five tackles.  Dybvig added 4.5 tackles.  Aieden Woodraska, Frederick, and Owen Effling all had four tackles each.  Effling and Jewett also had one interception each.
