Tri-Valley 16U Maroon Splits Two Games in Humboldt

Tri-Valley 16U Maroon split two games in Humboldt on Friday, June 16th.  The had games against Garretson and West Central.

Tri-Valley 7, Garretson 3

Tri-Valley never trailed in the game after getting three runs right away in the top of the first inning.  Garretson got one run in the bottom of the first making the score 3-1.  Both teams scored two runs each in the third inning.  Tri-Valley added a couple of insurance runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Hunter Foster had a double and two RBIs.  Tristen Bunde also had a double with an RBI.  Carter Sorenson added a triple.  Cyrus Kirstein had a single, and Denton Bicknase finished with an RBI.  Bunde pitched 5 2/3 inning allowing three runs, one earned on four hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.  Bicknase pitched the final 1/3 of an inning recording a strikeout.

West Central 17, Tri-Valley 2

West Central build a 14-0 lead in three innings before Tri-Valley got on the board.  They scored four runs in both the first and second innings and then six in the third inning.  Tri-Valley got two runs in the top of the fourth, but West Central finished the game with three more runs in the bottom of the inning.

Foster had the only hit in the game.  Kirstein finished with two RBIs.  Sorenson pitched 1 1/3 innings allowing seven earned runs on five hits and five walks with one strikeout.  Kirstein pitched one inning allowing four earned runs on one hit and five walks.  Bicknase threw 2/3 of an inning giving up six runs, five earned, on six hits and a walk with a strikeout.  Parker Hemme pitched 1/3 of an inning and allowed one hit.
