Mustang Softball Falls to Raiders

The Tri-Valley Mustang softball team hit the road on Thursday, April 27th to play the Gayville-Volin Raiders.  The Raiders scored early and often in a 17-2 win over the Mustangs.

Gayville-Volin got four runs right away in the bottom of the first inning.  They added three more in the bottom of the second for a 7-0 lead.  After a scoreless third inning, Tri-Valley cut into the Raider lead in the top of the fourth.  Reagan Pearson had an RBI double, and then Rylin Fods followed with an RBI double as well to make the score 7-2.  The Raiders would score 10 times in the bottom of the fourth to end the game.

Both Pearson and Fods had a double and an RBI.  Isabella Wetmore-Ocampo and Erika Beck each had a single in the game.  Lillian Schlueter pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed 17 runs on 13 hits and 10 walks with one strikeout.
