The Colton Yard Goats legion baseball team had three big innings in their 13-4 win over Dakota Valley at home on Tuesday, July 7th.
Colton scored four runs right away in the bottom of the first for an early 4-0 lead. They added five more runs in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 9-0. Dakota Valley did score the next four runs. They got a single run in both the fourth and fifth innings and then had a two-run sixth inning to make the score 9-4. Colton stopped any rally and regained the momentum with a four-run bottom of the sixth.
Treyson Richter had two hits, one a double, and three RBIS. Mason Hemme added a triple and single with an RBI. Denton Bicknase had two hits with an RBI. Cole Hendrickson added a double with two RBIs. Brody Dybvig had a single and two RBIs. Jackson Williams and Parker Hemme each had a single and an RBI. Alex Wingen, Braxton Allen, and Tristen Bunde all had one hit each.
