In another close battle with Avera, Tri-Valley 17U White held for a 7-6 win on Monday, July 14th.
Tri-Valley scored the first five runs of the game. They got three runs in the bottom of the first and another two in the bottom of the third for a 5-0 lead. Avera got one run in the top of the fourth. They took the lead, 6-5, with a five-run top of the fifth inning. Tri-Valley would string together three straight hits in the bottom of the fifth for a walk-off win.
Bracken singled to start the bottom of the fifth. Zach had an RBI double to tie the game 6-6. Kadyn followed with an RBI single to give Tri-Valley the win.
Kadyn finished with three hits and two RBIs. Denton had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Bracken had two singles. Zach finished with an RBI double. Luke pitched three strong innings and allowed just one hit and three walks with one strikeout.
