High School Baseball Season Ends for Tri-Valley

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team had their 2025 season come to an end in the opening round of the Region 3B tournament on Tuesday, May 20th in Alexandria.  Tri-Valley entered the tournament as the #6 seed and faced #3 Sioux Falls Christian.  Sioux Falls Christian pulled away late for a 15-5 win.

Tri-Valley tried to gain the momentum right away in the game.  They scored three times in the top of the first inning for an early 3-0 lead.  The lead was short lived, however.  Sioux Falls Christian responded with five runs to go in front 5-3.  Each team scored a run in the second inning to make the score 6-4.  After a scoreless third, Tri-Valley got another run in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 6-5.  Sioux Falls Christian then scored six times in the bottom of the fourth another three in the bottom of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.

Brechen Frederick, Brody Dybvig, Alex Wingen, Parker Hemme, and Aiden Bunde all had one hit each in the game.  Treyson Richter had two RBIs.  Tristen Bunde pitched three innings and allowed 10 runs, eight earned, on seven hits and six walks with six strikeouts.  Landon Schenkel pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed five runs, all unearned, on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts.

Tri-Valley finished the season with a 9-7 record.
