First Inning Rally Sets Tone for Tri-Valley Baseball Win over RC Central

The Tri-Valley high school baseball team set the tone in the first inning on their way to 11-4 win over Rapid City Central on Sunday, April 27th.

Tri-Valley scored seven times in the bottom of the first for a 7-0 lead they would not lose.  Rapid City Central scored three times in the top of the third to make the score 7-3, but that was as close as they would get.  Tri-Valley added a run in the bottom of the third.  The score remained 8-3 until the bottom of the sixth.  Tri-Valley scored three more times for an 11-3 advantage.  Rapid City Central got one more run in the top of the seventh.

Treyson Richter had a double and an RBI.  Jackson Williams had a single with an RBI.  Alex Wingen and and Parker Hemme each had a single.  Denton Bicknase pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed an unearned run on three hits and two walks with six strikeouts.  Landon Schenkel pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts.
