Tri-Valley Volleyball Ready to Take Another Step Forward

The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team finished 6-19 overall last year and was the #6 seed in the regional tournament.  The team is ready to take another step forward this season.

Madelyn Wenzel and Emery Pearson received all-conference honorable mentions last year and return this season as seniors.  They are joined by fellow seniors Cheyenne Hanson, Abigail Wagner, and McKenna Richter.  Emily Wenzel, Tori O’Toole, Macey Boese, Emry Jones, and Layla Grann also return with varsity experience from a year ago.

“As a program, we are hoping that this is another year that we take another step in the right direction. Each of the past two years we have improved our win total, region seeding, and conference finish.  We have a solid group of seniors this year, and with their leadership and the help of some talented underclassman,” said head coach Justin Nihart.

Tri-Valley will have another tough schedule again this season according to Nihart.

“We bring back a good core of our varsity team from last year, looking now to fill in some spots left by last year’s seniors.  The goal is to continually improve throughout the year, and if we do that, I think we can finish in the top half of our region and set us up to have success once regions come around,” he added.
