Tri-Valley Maroon 16U had their four-game winning streak come to an end in Volga on Monday, July 15th. Volga took the win by a score of 10-5.
Volga scored in every inning of the game. They got three runs in the bottom of the first for a 3-0 lead. Both teams scored a run in the second and third innings to make the score 5-2. Volga would extend the lead to 7-2 with two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Tri-Valley pulled within two runs, 7-5, after scoring three times in the top of the fifth. Volga, however, got two runs back in the bottom of the fifth and added one more in the sixth.
Parker Atwood finished with two hits and two RBIs. Denton Bicknase also had two hits with one RBI. Kaiden Bernards ended with two singles. Tristen Bunde had one hit. Bunde pitched four innings and allowed seven runs, all unearned, on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Brody Dybvig pitched one inning and allowed three earned runs on two hits and one walk. Bicknase also pitched an inning and struck out one batter.
