Tri-Valley Boys Suffer Loss to Lennox

The Tri-Valley Mustangs (3-11) led for the first half of the first quarter, but the Lennox Orioles got rolling and took the win 75-48 on Monday, February 6th.

The Mustangs led 8-2 with 4:30 to play in the first quarter, but Lennox fished the quarter on a 16-4 advantage for an 18-12 lead.  The Orioles then exploded in the second quarter and outscored the Mustangs 36-8 for a 54-20 lead.  Tri-Valley put together a strong rally in the third quarter.  They outscored Lennox 21-9 to cut the lead to 63-41.

Tri-Valley shot 42% (18-43) from the field overall, 30% (3-10) on three-point attempts, and 69% (9-13) from the free-throw line.  Lennox shot 40% (25-62) overall, 38% (9-24) from three-point area, and 89% (16-18) from the free-throw line.

Noah Haynes had 21 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.  Braden Oyen finished with nine points and three rebounds.  Levi Langloss added six points.  Trey Johnson ended with three points and seven rebounds.  Alex Wingen also had three points and three rebounds.
