Mustang Boys Ride Big Second Half to Win

The Tri-Valley Mustangs (4-11) used a big second half to earn a 62-39 win over the Garretson Blue Dragons on the road on Thursday, February 9th.

Garretson held the lead for most of the first half.  The Blue Dragons had an 18-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.  Tri-Valley got the game tied by halftime, 22-22.  They carried that momentum into the second half.  The Mustangs outscored Garretson 40-17 in the final two quarters for the win.

The Mustangs shot 41% (26-63) overall, 26% (5-19) on three-point attempts, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.  Garretson finished the game shooting 29% (13-45) overall, 35% (6-17) from three-point area, and 9-11 from the free-throw line.

Noah Haynes had a game-high 28 points and 11 rebounds.  Carter Sorenson had seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Trey Johnson finished with six points and 10 rebounds.  Logan Ellison ended with five points, four rebounds, and two assists.
