The Dell Rapids high school baseball team bounced back into the win column on Friday, April 4th with a 3-0 win over Sioux Falls Christian. The two teams combined for just four hits in the game, and the pitchers combined to strikeout 28 batters.
Cole Ruesink scored on an RBI by Drake Eastman in the top of the first inning to give Dell Rapids a 1-0 lead. Tommy LaVoy scored on an error by the catcher in the top of the fourth inning to extend the lead to 2-0. Dell Rapids added one more run in the top of the sixth when LaVoy scored on a passed ball.
Tad Tjaden had a double, and Ruesink had a single as the only two hits for Dell Rapids. Eastman had an RBI in the game. Tjaden pitched all seven innings allowing just two hits without a walk while striking out 13 batters.
