The Dell Rapids Phils won both games of a doubleheader against Sioux Falls Post 15 Black on Wednesday, July 10th to run their winning streak to 11 straight.
Dell Rapids 17, Sioux Falls Black 4
The offense was on fire in the first game as they scored in every inning of the four-inning game. Dell Rapids scored two in the first, two in the second, and seven in the top of the third for an 11-0 lead. Sioux Falls got one run in the bottom of the third. Dell Rapids kept rolling in the fourth scoring six more runs. Sioux Falls scored three times in the bottom of the fourth.
Treyse Eastman had two doubles and two RBIs. Quinn Carr added a double and two RBIs. Cooper Frost and Will Zwach both had a single with two RBIs. Mason Stubbe and Drake Eastman had a single and an RBI each. Lincoln Fersdahl had a single. Sutton Williams and Talan Millage both had one RBI. Konrad Richeal pitched four innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
Dell Rapids 6, Sioux Falls Black 3
The second game was much closer. Sioux Falls scored three runs in the bottom of the first for an early 3-0 lead. They continued to lead 3-0 until the top of the fifth inning. Dell Rapids would score six times in the inning to take a 6-3 lead. Sioux Falls was held scoreless the rest of the game.
Cole Ruesink had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Tad Tjaden had two hits and an RBI. T. Eastman and Brandon Schmidt both had one hit each. D. Eastman finished with an RBI. Carr pitched four innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on five walks with six strikeouts. Ruesink pitched three innings and allowed one hit and two walks with four strikeouts.
