The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team earned a conference road win in Madison over the Bulldogs on Tuesday, October 21st. The Quarriers won in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-18, and 25-15.
Dell Rapids got out to a 10-5 advantage in the opening set. They were able to push the lead to 16-8. Madison cut the lead to 18-12, but Dell Rapids finished the set on a 7-1 run to take the first set win 25-13.
The second set started back and forth. The two teams were tied at scores of 3-3, 6-6, and 8-8. Dell Rapids was able to pull away for a 14-12 lead and then pushed it to 19-14. The Quarriers then went on a 4-1 run to lead 23-15 before finishing with a 25-18 victory.
Madison took the early lead in the third set, 5-4. Dell Rapids tied the score 8-8. The Bulldogs scored the next point to go back in front 9-8. The Quarriers then went on a 7-0 run to take a 15-8 lead. That momentum carried them to a 25-15 win.
