The Dell Rapids boys cruised to their third straight win on Thursday, January 9th. The Quarriers hosted the Canton C-Hawks and led at the end of every quarter in a 67-39 victory.
Dell Rapids started the game with a 10-0 run and never looked back. They ended the first quarter with a 14-5 lead. They extended the lead to 31-15 by halftime. Canton kept pace with the Quarriers in the third quarter. Dell Rapids outscored the C-Hawks 16-14 in the quarter to lead 47-29 going into the fourth quarter. The Quarriers continued to roll in the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 42% (26-62) overall in the game, 38% (8-21) on three-point attempts, and 7-9 from the free-throw line. Canton shot 37% (16-43) overall, 44% (7-16) from three-point area, and did not attempt a free throw. The Quarrier defense forced 19 turnovers, 12 of them on steals.
Jack Kloth finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Tad Tjaden added 10 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Karson Paye also had 10 points with three rebounds and five assists. Lincoln Fersdahl had nine points, four rebounds, and three assists. Lincoln Anderson ended with eight points. Carson Maeschen had seven points and two rebounds. Jackson Peppel had five points and two rebounds.
