The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team remained unbeaten on the season after a straight-set win in Garretson on Tuesday, September 24th. The Quarriers defeated the Blue Dragons by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-12.
Dell Rapids got out to a quick 9-3 lead to start the first set. That lead grew to 16-8. Garretson chipped away at the lead and got within for points, 24-20, but the Quarriers stopped the rally and won 25-20. The second set saw Dell Rapids take an early 7-4 lead. Garretson got within a point, 10-9 and then again at 15-14. The Quarriers pushed the lead to 19-15 and stayed in front by four at 23-19 before winning 25-20. The third set started with ties for 4-4 and 6-6. Dell Rapids then went on a 4-0 run for a 10-6 lead. The Quarriers pushed it to five points, 15-10 before finishing the match on a 10-2 run.
Lauryn Kloth had 10 kills, three ace serves, and two blocks. Madelynn Henry finished with 15 kills, four digs, three ace serves, and two block. Sophi Randall added 31 set assists, six kills, and seven digs. Karlie Ingalls had 10 digs, six kills, and three ace serves. Clara Justice had seven digs, three kills, and two ace serves, and Alaina Wolff added eight digs and four ace serves.
