Dell Rapids PBR snapped the five-game winning streak of the Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks with a 5-2 win on Sunday, June 30th.
PBR took the early lead with a run in the top of the first inning. Humboldt/Hartford tied the game in the bottom of the third and then took a 2-1 lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth. PBR went ahead 4-2 with a three-run fifth inning. They would add an insurance run in the top of the ninth.
Riley Hoffman had three hits, including a double. Drew Sweeter had a single and three RBIs. Weston Hansen and Nate McKee both had a double and an RBI. CJ Spindler and Tanner Solberg both had a single. Grant Sweeter pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout.
