The Dell Rapids Quarrier softball team won both games against the Arlington Cardinals on senior night in Dell Rapids on Saturday, May 4th.
Dell Rapids 19, Arlington 0
The Quarriers belted out 15 hits and scored 13 runs in the bottom of the first inning alone in their 19-0 win over the Cardinals in the first game. Katie Kvigne pitched two innings and allowed just one hit while striking out three. Paige Trewin pitched the final inning and allowed a walk with one strikeout.
Kylee Fiddelke had three hits and an RBI. Claire Wynja had a triple and double with four RBIs. Kylie Lebahn had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Kvigne had two singles and an RBI. Lexi Ingalls added two singles. Rylee Halverson had a double and two RBIs. Jaycee Tebay had a solo home run. Lexi Scherff had a hit and an RBI. Makaylah O’Meara also had a double.
Dell Rapids 13, Arlington 1
The Quarriers scored in every inning before ending the game on the 10-run rule in the fifth inning. Dell Rapids had three runs in the first, four in the second, five in the third, and one more in the fourth. Arlington got their lone run in the top of the third.
Ingalls had a home run and three RBIs. Tebay had a triple with three RBIs. O’Meara added a double and two RBIs. Wynja also had a triple and an RBI. Fiddelke, Halverson, and Scherff all had two hits each. Kvigne, Trewin, and Shelby Welbig all had one hit each. Trewin pitched five innings and allowed an earned run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
