The Dell Rapids high school baseball team remained undefeated in Class B games after a 5-2 win at home over Lennox on Friday, April 19th.
Lennox got a run in the top of the first inning for an early 1-0 lead. Drake Eastman had an RBI single in the bottom of the second to tie the game 1-1. Dell Rapids took the lead in the bottom of the third after Jack Henry scored on an error and Mason Stubbe scored on a balk. The score remained 3-1 until the top of the fifth inning. Lennox scored one run to cut the lead to 3-2. Dell Rapids added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth when Cole Ruesink scored on an error and Tad Tjaden crossed home plate on a passed ball.
Henry had two hits. D. Eastman finished with a single and an RBI. Stubbe and Sutton Williams both had a single. Quinn Carr pitched all seven innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
