Playing for the third straight day, Dell Rapids won both games of a double-header in Tea on Sunday, April 21st to remain undefeated in Class B action this season.
Dell Rapids 5, Tea 1
All five runs by Dell Rapids were scored in the first three innings. They got a run in the top of the first, two in the second, and two more in the third. The score remained 5-0 until the bottom of the seventh. Tea scored their only run with one out in the seventh.
Mason Stubbe led the offense with three hits, including a home run, and an RBI. Talan Millage had two hits and an RBI. Tad Tjaden finished with a single and two RBIs. Cole Ruesink had two singles. Drake Eastman added an RBI. Lincoln Fersdahl pitched five innings and allowed one hit and six walks with nine strikeouts. Konrad Richeal pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits.
Dell Rapids 8, Tea 1
Dell Rapids scored in the first three innings again in the second game. They got two runs in the top of the first, one in the second, and one in the third for a 4-0 lead. Tea scored a run in the bottom of the third to make the score 4-1. Dell Rapids put four more runs on the board in the top of the sixth.
Sutton Williams and Tjaden both had two RBIs each. Jack Henry had two hits, including a double. Brandon Schmidt finished with a single. D. Eastman pitched all seven innings and allowed one run, which was unearned, on four hits with 10 strikeouts.
