The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys ended their 2023-2024 regular season with a big win over the Garretson Blue Dragons on Monday, February 19th. After trailing 3-2 early in the opening quarter, Dell Rapids went on a 14-0 run and cruised to a 69-33 win.
The Quarriers finished the first quarter with a 24-7 lead. They extended their lead to 42-16 by halftime. The defense was strong in the third quarter as they held the Blue Dragons to just five points. The Quarriers led 56-21 going into the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 57% (29-51) from the field overall, 42% (8-19) from three-point area, and 3-5 from the free-throw line. Garretson finished the game shooting 30% (13-43) overall, 25% (3-12) on three-point shots, and 44% (4-9) from the free-throw line.
Jack Henry finished with 18 points, four rebounds, and six assists. Rhett Kloth added 12 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Cole Ruesink had nine points, three rebounds, and four assists. Luke Schoolmeester had seven points.
