The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys ran their winning streak to seven games after a 56-35 home win over the Flandreau Fliers on Tuesday, January 30th.
The two teams put 36 combines points on the board in the first quarter. Dell Rapids led 20-16 going into the second quarter. The Quarrier defense then held Flandreau to just three points in the second quarter to put enough distance between them and the Fliers. Dell Rapids led 35-19 at halftime. The Quarriers maintained their double-digit lead in the third quarter and were leading 45-28 going into the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 50% (22-44) from the field overall, 36% (4-11) from three-point area, and 50% (8-16) from the free-throw line. Flandreau finished the game shooting 31% (13-42) overall, 25% (6-24) from three-point area, and 3-4 from the free-throw line.
Jack Henry had 16 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Tad Tjaden added 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Rhett Kloth finished with nine points and eight rebounds. Lincoln Fersdahl also had nine points and two rebounds. Treyse Eastman ended with seven points and three assists.
