Dell Rapids Boys Keep Winning Streak Alive in Parker

The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys kept their winning streak going with a 57-46 win in Parker on Monday, January 29th.  The win over the Pheasants was the sixth in a row for the Quarriers.

The offense got off to a slow start for Dell Rapids.  Parker led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter.  Dell Rapids bounced back with a 20-point second quarter and took a 26-19 lead into halftime.  Parker retook the lead in the third quarter.  They went on a 14-4 run for a 33-30 lead.  The Pheasants extended the lead to 37-32 with 2:45 to go in the quarter.  Dell Rapids cut the lead to 39-38 going into the fourth quarter.  The Pheasants held a 44-40 lead with 6:30 to play.  The Quarriers ended the game on a 17-2 run for the win.

Dell Rapids shot 43% (23-54) overall, 18% (3-17) from three-point area, and 50% (8-16) from the free-throw line.  Parker shot 44% (19-43) from the field overall, 14% (2-14) on three-point attempts, and 6-6 from the free-throw line.

Jack Henry had 26 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Rhett Kloth finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Tad Tjaden had nine points and five rebounds.  Lincoln Fersdahl added seven points, four rebounds, and two steals.
