Even though the Dell Rapids Mudcats were playing as the home team, they traveled to Humboldt to play the Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks in a make-up game on Tuesday, July 11th. After an early lead by the Wood Ducks, the Mudcats rolled to a 15-3 win in seven innings.
The Wood Ducks scored three times in the top of the second inning, but it was all Dell Rapids after that point. The Mudcats tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the second. They went ahead with five runs in the fourth and then added two runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth inning.
Ty Hoglund had four hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Spencer Freudenthal had three hits, two of them doubles, and two RBIs. Kole Zimmerman had three hits and two RBIs. Kris Regas also had three hits. Landon Ruesink had two hits and two RBIs. Mark Abrahamson finished with a home run and two RBIs. Dusty Haffeman had two hits, and Dalton Allen had one hit.
Allen pitched five innings and allowed three runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Abrahamson pitched two innings and allowed two runs and had three strikeouts.
