The Dell Rapids Quarriers (7-0) won two games in Arlington against the Cardinals on Friday, April 28th. Dell Rapids won the first game 23-0 and the second game 13-2.
Dell Rapids 23, Arlington 0
The Quarriers belted 23 hits and scored in all three innings in the first game. Dell Rapids scored 14 runs in the top of the first, six in the second, and the final three in the third inning. Arlington was held without a hit and seven of the outs were on strikeouts.
Jaycee Tebay had three home runs and five RBIs in the game. Kylee Fiddelke had four hits, a home run and three doubles, with three RBIs. Katie Kvigne had three hits, two of them doubles, and three RBIs. Lexi Ingalls had three hits, including a home run and double, and two RBIs. Claire Wynja had a home run and double with two RBIs. Makaylah O’Meara had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Rileigh Foster and Kylie Lebahn both ended with two hits each, one a double for both. Liz Price had a single and two RBIs, and Shelby Welbig had a hit. Kvigne pitched three innings and struck out seven batters.
Dell Rapids 13, Arlington 2
The Quarriers scored four times in the top of the first and cruised to the 13-2 win. Dell Rapids added four more runs in the second, four in the third, and one more in the top of the fifth. Arlington got a run in the bottom of the first and one in the bottom of the fifth.
Ingalls had three hits, a single, double, and home run, with an RBI. Both Lebahn and Foster had three hits each, each of them had one a double, and an RBI. Wynja had a home run and double with three RBIs. Tebay had two doubles and three RBIs. Fiddelke ended with two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Paige Trewin pitched all five innings and allowed two earned runs on a hit and two walks with nine strikeouts.
