Kvigne Pitches Perfect Game, Quarriers Cruise Past Flandreau

Katie Kvigne pitched four perfect innings as the Dell Rapids Quarriers (2-0) cruised to a 13-0 win over the Flandreau Fliers at Bowden Field on Monday, April 10th.

Kvigne did not allow a baserunner, and in fact, struck out all 12 batters she faced in the game on a total of 48 pitches.

Dell Rapids got one run right away in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Jaycee Tebay.  They added two more runs in the bottom of the second on steals of home by both Kvigne and Katie Scherff.  The big inning for Dell Rapids came in the bottom of the third.  Tebay had an RBI bunt single and later scored on a wild pitch, Kvigne added a two-run triple, Kvigne stole home again later in the inning, and Kylee Fiddelke had an RBI ground out to put Dell Rapids ahead 9-0.  Lexi Ingalls had a two-run double in the bottom of the fourth, and Fiddelke followed with a two-run tripe, which ended the game.

Fiddelke had two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs.  Tebay had two hits and two RBIs.  Kvigne added a triple and two RBIs.  Ingalls had a double with two RBIs.  The team took a total of 13 walks in the game.
